Kathmandu, 14 April: Former King Gyanendra Shah has called for making Nepal a land of peace to ensure stability, peace and prosperity along with national identity.
In the message issued to Nepalis on the occasion of Bikram Sambat 2079, the former King Shah expressed his desire to make Nepal a land of peace, but it is not mentioned how much it is different or similar to the concept put forward by King Birendra 47 years ago and recognized by more than 116 countries.
"It is our belief that all nations, all communities should live together, there should be no unrest, there should be no division, no discrimination. We should always be aware of the fact that the policies and practices we adopt towards our neighbors and friends will not only affect our progress but also the stability, peace and national identity of the country," he has said in the message.
