
Kathmandu, 10 December: Bimalendra Nidhi, vice-president of the Nepali Congress and aspirant for the post of president in the 14th General Convention, has said that leader Ram Chandra Poudel should be unanimously elected president. Speaking at a program organized by Chitwan-Kathmandu Democratic Forum today, Nidhi proposed Poudel as the unanimous party president.
He also called on the leaders and cadres of the Nepali Congress to convey the message of unity by making Poudel president. Other aspirants for the presidency are Dr. Shekhar Koirala and Prakash Man Singh have maintained their position. He said, “If Poudel is not made the unanimous president, my candidacy for the chairmanship will remain.” President Deuba should also propose to Poudel.’
