Kathmandu, 16 November: The highest number of complaints have been registered at the local level and in the education sector. According to the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), about 49 percent of the total complaints related to financial irregularities and corruption are related to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, the Ministry of Education, and the local levels. The CIAA chief Prem Kumar Rai while submitting commission’s 31st annual report to President Bidhyadevi Bhandari on Monday stated that integrated initiatives of all state bodies are needed to control corruption and maintain good governance. According to the report,  32.72 percent of the complaints of irregularities and corruption from across the country were found in federal affairs including local level and 15.61 percent in education sector.
