Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and President of Sri Lanka Gotabay Rajapaksa have held bilateral talks. A sideline meeting was held in Glasgow, United Kingdom, while attending a two-day summit of world leaders under the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, COP-260. During the meeting, Foreign Secretary Bharatraj Poudyal informed the RSS that they discussed deepening the relations between the two countries. The two countries have good relations. They discussed issues related to exchanging cooperation in the field of education and strengthening bilateral culture. On the occasion, Secretary Poudyal said that Sri Lankan President Rajapaksa had expressed his desire to set up a 30-bed hospital in Lumbini and wished for Nepal's goodwill. Likewise, they discussed issues related to the promotion of tourism in both the countries and the strengthening of relations and the continuation of dialogue at a high level.
