Minister Bhushal urges to use e-vehicles
Kathmandu, 30 October: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Pampha Bhushal has urged all to use e-vehicles.
Minister Bhushal said that to reduce the trade deficit, to make the national economy self-reliant and to transform Nepal into a prosperous nation, all should use e-vehicles and other electric utensils.
Inaugurating a rally for using e-vehicles at Jawlakhel, Lalitpur today, Minister Bhushal said that e-vehicles are the cheapest transportation means and the country has enough electricity for consumption.
Minister Bhushal asked all to use electricity in all sectors including cooking foods and running industries.
The country is spending two trillion rupees for the import of petroproducts, 40 billion rupees worth LP Gas which can be substituted by the use of electricity.
Kulman Ghising, MD, Nepal Electricity Authority, remarked that if we will be able to use domestically produced energy at a maximum level, we can make the nation self-reliant.
