Government names ambassadors to India, the US and the UK
Kathmandu, 29 October: The alliance government of five political parties has proposed the names of Shankar Sharma, Shreedhar Khatri and Gyanchandra Acharya as the ambassador to India, the US and the UK respectively.
The appointment has to be approved by the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee and then receive approval from the concerned countries.
The cabinet meeting on Thursday afternoon recommended economist Shankar Sharma for the Nepali ambassador to India, foreign affairs expert Shreedhar Khatri for the United States and career diplomat Gyan Chandra Acharya to the United Kingdom.
