Nepal-India Bilateral Consultative Group’s meeting starting today
Kathmandu, 28 October: The 14th meeting of the Nepal-India Bilateral Consultative Group is going to start today in Bengaluru, India. The meeting will conclude tomorrow, 29 October.
According to the Military Public Relations and Information Directorate, a delegation of the Ministry of Defense led by the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Nepal Army is scheduled to attend the meeting today.
The bilateral group was formed in 2003 to regularly discuss security issues between Nepal and India. After the formation of the group, there have been 13 meetings from 2003 to 2018.
The 14th meeting of the Consultative Group was scheduled to be held in New Delhi, India in 2076 BS, two years ago, but was postponed due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
From the Indian part, the meeting will be led by the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs. The meeting will discuss various aspects of military training and capacity building, RSS reports
