
Kathmandu, 20 October: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has informed that China is providing additional two million doses of the Vero Cell vaccine to Nepal.
Foreign Minister Dr Nawayan Khadka extended thanks to his Chinese counterpart for the grant support.
The two senior leaders held a telephone talk Monday morning, according to the Foreign Ministry.
The two leaders also discussed further progress of the Nepal-China transportation protocol, Belt and Road Initiative and other impending bilateral partnership projects.
This is the first time of discussion between the leaders of the two countries since the formation of the new government led by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
According to e-Kagaj Online portal, Foreign Minister Khadka remarked: “China is our neighbouring country. We don’t have any big problems in bilateral relations. We are supporting China as a friend and China has also supported us in our development process as a friend. We expect to further strengthen the existing relations.”
