Dhungana worried with former King’s remarks
Kathmandu, 17 October: Former speaker and NC leader Damannath Dhungana has expressed worry about the present state of the political situation.
Indicating towards the King's Dasain greetings, Dhugana had drawn the attention of the political leaders about the possible threat to the present change.
Former King Gyanendra, in his Dasain greetings, had expressed the view, “Democracy without monarchy and monarchy without democracy cannot be relevant in the Nepali context.”
Dhungana, expressing worry about the present situation, has questioned, “Where are those heroes of change!”
He has tweeted, “It is the responsibility of all of us including the heroes of political parties for protecting the change.”
The political parties and the heroes have forgotten their responsibility, Dhungana has stated.
“In Nepal, there is a strong feeling of patriotism”, Dhungana said.
He further stated that when the King lauds the slogan of patriotism, the old patriotism may rise.
