Kathmandu, 10 October: Dispute has existed in the five-party-alliance government. On the Friday morning meeting of the alliance partners held at PM’s residence Baluatar, when Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba proposed for assigning Gajendra Bahadur Hamal to the post of the minister, Maoist Center chair Pushpakamal Dahal supported Deuba by remaining silent, whereas, Madhav Nepal had opposed the idea saying that providing quota to the court would not give a positive result.  Deuba didn’t react against Nepal’s argument but Prachanda criticized Deuba saying that the government’s works have not given a good result. Prachanda further expressed his dissatisfaction with one-sidedly done appointments in different positions.  Deuba and Prachanda had disputed the issue of the alliance partners in the government.  On the issue of MCC also, the alliance partners had disputed. Deuba had said that MCC has to be endorsed by Parliament and if the alliance partners will not support it, in that case, he should think about other options.  Prachanda has immediately objected to this issue, which, Deuba didn’t like.  Deuba had then replied to Prachanda saying that in the next session of the House of Representatives, MCC has to be tabled and the political parties in the alliance government should not put different opinions. Deuba’s clear indication was that if alliance partners will oppose MCC, in that case, the alliance government’s life can become short.
