
Kathmandu, 8 October: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, after almost three months of assuming office, has been able to give the final shape to his cabinet.
According to the notice issued by the President’s Office, the following is the list of the cabinet of ministers and their portfolios:
- Sher Bahadur Deuba: Prime Minister
- Balkrishna Khand: Home Minister
- Gyanendra Bahadur Karki: Communications and Information Technology Minister
- Pampha Bhushal: Energy and Water Resources Minister
- Rajendra Prasad Shrestha: Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister
- Birodh Khatiwada: Health and Population Minister
- Janardan Sharma: Finance Minister
- Minendraprasad Rijal: Defence Minister
- Umakant Chaudhari: Drinking Water Minister
- Narayan Khadka: Foreign Affairs Minister
- Renukumari Yadav: Physical Infrastructure and Transportation Minister
- Prem Bahadur Aale: Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister
- Dilendra Prasad Badu: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister
- Devendra Poudel: Education, Science and Technology Minister
- Mahindra Ray Yadav: Agriculture and Livestock Minister
- Uma Regmi: Women, Children and Senior Citizens Minister
- Shashi Shrestha: Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Irridication Minister
- Ramkumari Jhakri: Urban Development Minister
- Gajendra Bahadur Hamal: Industry, Commerce and Supplies Minister
- Ramshaya Yadav: Forest and Environment Minister
- Krishnakumar Shrestha: Labour, Employment and Social Security Minister
- Maheshwor Gahatraj: Youth and Sports Minister
- Umesh Shrestha: State Minister for Prime Minister’s Office
- Bhawani Prasad Khapung: State Minister for Health and Population
- Bodhmayakumari Yadav: State Minister for Education, Science and Technology.
It is believed that Hamal has become minister from chief justice Cholendra S Rana.
