State Minister for Health and Population, Umesh Shrestha has said that the government will vaccinate children aged below 18 years against COVID-19, immediately after completion of the Dashain festival.
Speaking at a programme of health materials hand over from Buddhist Tzu Chi Charity Foundation to Kanti Children's Hospital on Sunday, State Minister Shrestha said that the arrival of 10 million doses of vaccines for children below the age of 18 has already been ensured.
State Minister Shrestha said that the government has already ensured the purchase of four million doses of Moderna vaccine and six million doses of Pfizer vaccines for children.
Of them, 100,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines will arrive in Nepal by Dashain and will be provided to children, he said.
