Alliance parties agree to share ministries

October: The meeting of the high-level task force on Tuesday has finalized a deal for sharing the ministerial portfolios among the alliance partners.
According to the agreement, the Nepali Congress has agreed to take seven ministries and the other parties in the alliance to take five ministries each.
According to sources, Janata Samajwadi Party will get the Ministries for Physical Planning, Education, Science and Technology and Forests.
The CPN Unified Socialist will get the Ministry for Urban Development, Industry, Commerce and Supplies and Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
The Maoist Center will get the Ministries of Agriculture and Livestock Development and Drinking Water.
The Maoist Center has already got the Finance and Energy ministries. It has been agreed that the Congress will get the Ministries of Home Affairs, Foreign Affairs and Law, Communications and Information Technology, Health and Women, Children and Senior Citizens.
Prime Minister Deuba will recommend to the President for the expansion of the Council of Ministers as soon as the parties name the ministers.
Sources said that they would give the final shape to the government by swearing in the ministers as early as possible on Wednesday and as late as Friday.
