Kathmandu, 4 October: It seems difficult for foreign tourists and non-resident Nepalis visiting Nepal on tourist visas who have not been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The previous government had issued the 'Travel Management Order 2078' for passengers arriving and departing from Nepal. As per the provision, it was decided to issue on arrival visa to the tourists who have completed 14 days of vaccination against Covid-19. The present government has not removed this notice.

At present, Nepali missions are working in only 38 countries. However, there are statistics that tourists come to Nepal from more than 155 countries every year.

Achyut Guragain, president of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), said that with the decision of the government, those Nepalis coming from the countries where the vaccination campaign has not been intensified may face hurdles.
