
Kathmandu, 26 September: The Chamber of Industries Morang has furnished recommendations on the Nepal Trade Integration Strategy-2016 introduced by the Government of Nepal to slash growing trade deficit through the promotion of domestic goods in international market.
At a programme organized by the Chamber on the matters to be included in the upcoming amendment, Chamber Chairperson Subesh Pyakurel stressed the need to address the shortcomings surfaced in the 2016 strategy while formulating a new policy. Saying that the export has not increased due to procedural hassles in the export, growing production cost and logistic expenses, transportation problem and lack of diplomatic dealing despite demand of peculiar Nepali goods in the international market, he noted, “The upcoming strategies should be outline to address the complexities seen in the export”.
