Kathmandu, 19 September: How is the constitution functioning in Nepal? It is the same as the standstill of the two rails for one year in Janakpur. The one billion rupees worth of rails are unable to come into operation due to government negligence. The country’s oldest national flag carrier, Nepal Airlines, is facing a heavy loss. Six brand new Chinese aircraft are grounded for years. Two narrow-body and two wide-body aircraft are in operation, yet, the Airlines is unable to earn profit.  The present constitution, which completes six years now, could be excellent for a handful number of looters but for the entire Nepali population, it has become a cruse as the country is continuously downgrading since its introduction.  Baburam Bhattarai was the chair of the constitution drafting committee in the second Constituent Assembly. His Janata Samajbadi Party has decided not to observe the constitution day. The other Loktantrik Samjbadi Party had decided to observe the day as the black day. Many other political parties and individuals are against the constitution. They are organizing different protest programmes against the constitution. The Citizens Struggle Committee has decided to organize a rally from Maitighar to the International Convention Center demanding the abandonment of the constitution.  People's News Monitoring Service
