Kathmandu, 5 September: Nepal recorded a total of 976 new cases of Covid-19 and 9 fatalities in the last 20 hours taking the country’s coronavirus caseload reached 769,271 according to the Ministry of Health and Population. Moreover, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll has jumped to 10,838 while the total coronavirus recoveries has dropped to 727,185 with 1,534 discharges today. The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 31,248. The Kathmandu Valley recorded as many as 288 infections today while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur recorded 98 and 67 respectively.
