Unilever plant sealed for producing date expired tea
Kathmandu, 3 August: The local administration has organised a raid and sealed the Unilever tea plant in Hetauda, reports RSS.
A team led by the staffers from the District Administration Office Makwanpur, Food Technology and Quality Control Office, Hetauda, and different other monitoring bodies had jointly inspected the tea plant of the company Thursday found date expired tea in bags.
The inspection team had a raid after receiving information about the date expired tea.
Around 30 kgs of date expired tea in 920 bags were recovered by the inspection team.
The plant was preparing to keep the date expired tea in international“Red Labal” brand tea packets by printing a new date.
The tea dust was imported from India for packing purposes by the reputed multination company.
