BABBLES

By Babbler

Viewing delayed project works in Nepal, my foreign friends say that they will become lazy if they stay for some years here.

We can see the pile of garbage in every city squares as the Kathmandu Metropolis Corporation has stopped the collection of garbage from the city giving the reason that the new dumping site at Banchare Danda, which was expected to be completed two years ago, is yet to be completed and the road approaching the present dumping site in Sisdol is very poor.

Why the Bancharedanda dumping site has not been completed, the government doesn’t speak.

The nation is suffering from the Covid-19 pandemic. In the meantime, the pile of garbage may spread another epidemic in the capital city. Who to take responsibility as leaders are busy in giving the final shape to the government for the last one and a half months.

The fate of Nepal Airlines and Nepali rail

The brokers, who are the real ruler of the country, are developing the plan for disposing of Nepal Airlines, the nation’s flag carrier just for their personal gains.

Nepal Airlines carries strategic security significance for Nepal, a landlocked country. The Airlines should be operated at any cost. But the leaders under the grip of the brokers are prepared to dispose of the Airlines by forgetting the strategic security significance of it.

On a whim, outgoing PM K.P. Sharma Oli led government to import two engines with buggies at government to government procurement deal to resume railway service in India constructed the Janakpur-Jaynagar Railway section one year ago.

The railway engines and buggies are being parked at a railway station for one year but the government is unable to operate the railway.

When the government is incapable of even resuming the railway service, what else can we expect from it? Even during the Rana days and also during the Panchayat days, the railway service was in operation in two sectors. The present-day leaders have proved them as worst than the Rana rulers.

Two types of thief

What is the difference between an Ordinary Thief (OT) and a Political Thief (PT)?

The "Ordinary Thief" steals your money, bag, watch, gold chain etc.

But, the "Political Thief" steals your future, career, education, health and business!

The hilarious part is:

The "Ordinary Thief" will choose whom to rob. But, you yourself choose the "Political Thief" to rob you.

The most ironic one:

Police will chase and nab the "Ordinary Thief", but, police will look after and protect the "Political Thief"!

The stupid part of the whole issue is that we insult and fight the "Ordinary Thief", but, we fight each other for the "Political Thief".

That is the travesty and irony of our current society. And, we blindly say we are not BLIND.

QUOTES OF THE WEEK

There left no confidence for building the nation by the present courage-less government, which is unable to speak a single word in protest against dumping a Nepali citizen into the river by untying the knot of the Tuin cable; imposing an economic blockade against the country; openly beating Nepali citizens by Indian border security forces and encroaching Nepali soil!

Kritika Tharu

What could be more embarrassing, dangerous, and unfortunate for the citizens if the government cannot stand for the security of the citizen; if the government cannot tell the Indian government that Indian security personnel was responsible for the killing of the Nepali citizen and demand for action against the security personnel!

Rajendra Lingden

Don't brag much, young man, your price has been fixed, Rs. 1 million!

Prof Dr Jageshwor Gautam

10 million is needed to contest for the district president of the Nepali Congress: Durlav Thapa

In this regard, how much does it take to become the Central President? 770 million?

Bipendra

Why is it taken so long to “investigate”? It is known on the same day that the Nepali citizen went missing after falling into the border river.

Why the delay in sending a note to investigate and take action against the culprit?

1 million to be paid, that too the person who died is a Nepali and the organ to pay the money is also a Nepali. One life equals Rs. 1 million!

How cheap is the life of a Nepali?

Political parties must also understand that only the monarchy can bind Nepal's geography and diversity. The army can't. The army can only defend.
