Kathmandu, 27 August: Even after the formal registration of the NCP United Socialist Party led by Madhav Nepal, the cabinet expansion process has been delayed.  Reports state that Upendra Yadav, chair of the Janata Samajbadi Party has requested Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba not expanding the cabinet earlier to 29 August. As the three senior leaders Yadav, Baburam Bhattarai and Ashok Rai, who have been assigned to select the names of the ministers representing JSP, will be out of the Valley until 29 August, Yadav has requested PM Deuba to wait until their return. So far, the leaders in the alliance government have already reached an agreement on their share in the government.  As per the agreement, NC will get seven ministers including the prime minister. Similarly, the Maoist Center, Unified Socialist and JSP will get five ministers and one state minister each.  Nevertheless, to whom to send to the cabinet, leaders are unable to decide as there has been seen many aspirants in all four parties in the alliance. This is also one of the reasons behind the delay in the expansion of the cabinet. People’s News Monitoring Service
