BABBLES

This is the Gaijatra week. In the past, the week used to be celebrated by displaying political and social anomalies; copying bad characters of the political leaders, displaying funny comedies, satire and odd activities by making laugh at people.
In the past, society was maintaining rule of law. Practices such as corruption, commission, rape and other criminal activities were very limited. Therefore, people had to wait for the Gaijatra event to watch satire on social and political anomalies. People were granted to perform satire on those leaders in power during the festival week.
Today, society is full of such anomalies. Rape and other crimes have become normal practices in society. Political leaders themselves are displaying comedy; they are involved in rampant corruption, commission and protection of those criminals. Therefore, the Gaijatra festival, in this loottantra, is not limited to a week but it has become a daily phenomenon!
The SC Jatra
In this Cholendra raj, the Supreme Court is also demonstrating Jatra by giving odd verdicts. The court has appointed the prime minister of the country. The court explained that the MPs can cross the floor and they are not subjected to get party punishment as if there is a partyless system. The court rejected the implementation of different ordinances issued by the outgoing government led by K.P. Sharma Oli but it has remained silent on the verdict issued by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba aimed at splitting only UML and JSP.
The court is for justice but in Nepal, it has become the place for “match-fixing” and “setting” to save the criminals, political leaders and corrupt officials.
The constitutional Jatra
Nowhere in the globe, a constitution can be amended for a very short period for a particular mission. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba issued an ordinance related to the split of the political parties by ending the ongoing session of the House of Representatives.
Following the ordinance, the Madhav Nepal faction in UML and the Mahantha Thakur faction in the Janata Samajbadi Party have applied to the Election Commission to register new political parties.
Immediately after the registration of the two new political parties, the government is planning to suspend the ordinance and the government authorities are consulting with the legal experts for its suspension.
The leaders in the present alliance government are worried about the split of their own parties by taking benefit of the present ordinance.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is unable to expand his cabinet as many aspirants have been seen to the very limited posts of the minister. The possibility of opening a new party by splitting the existing political parties by those who are not included in the cabinet is very high. Therefore, immediately after the registration of the two new parties, the leaders in the government are seeking for suspending the ordinance.
This is why we say that odd things can happen only in Nepal.

Dibas Basnyat
On the whole, the current leaders who have taken the responsibility of developing the country in the 32 years since the advent of the multi-party system have not been able to fulfill their responsibilities. Nepal's history has proved that the current political leadership has failed to develop the country.

Looking at the attention of the prime ministers on the arrival of the head of the foreign department (of the BJP of India), it seems that we are the residents of their province. What a weak diplomatic dignity? Slavery foreign policy!
