Kathmandu, 24 August: The District Administration Offices (DAOs)in the Kathmandu Valley have lifted the restriction on public and private vehicles after 8 pm. A meeting of Chief District Officers (CDOs)of the Valley held on Tuesday extended the prohibitory order until September 1 allowing vehicular movement after 8 pm. Earlier on August 12, vehicles were barred from plying in the Kathmandu Valley after 8 pm citing Covid-19 risk. Vehicles ferrying goods will not be allowed to operate from 9 am to 11 am and from 4 pm to 7 pm.All types of gatherings and conferences have been prohibited while party venues, cinema halls, dance bars, clubs, swimming pools, museums and theaters among others will remain closed, according to a notice issued by the Kathmandu District Administration Office.
