
Kathmandu, 24 August: After the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, a total of 654 Nepalis have been rescued and repatriated. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that more Nepalis are being repatriated from Afghanistan after their rescue. In course of rescue, 39 Nepalis arrived in Kathmandu in a flight of Fly Dubai on Sunday night and seven from Turkish Air and 104 from Qatar on Monday. According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 361 more Nepalis have registered their details in the web portal of Department of Consular Service till Monday evening for the rescue and repatriation. Of the Nepalis who came in contact so far, two Nepalis don’t have their passports and arrangements have been made to issue travel documents.
