Kathmandu, 23 August: Nepal recorded a total of 1,801 new cases of Covid-19 and 24 fatalities in the last 24 hours taking the country’s coronavirus caseload reached 748,981 according to the Ministry of Health and Population. Moreover, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll has jumped to 10,533 while the total coronavirus recoveries has dropped to 797,000 with 1,924 discharges today. The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 38,351. The Kathmandu Valley recorded as many as 441 infections today while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur recorded 167 and 100 respectively.
