Kathmandu, 22 August: The coalition government led by Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur is all set to scrap over 1000 political appointments made by the erstwhile Khadga Oli’s government. A seven-member task force under the convenorship of Nepali Congress leader Purna Bahadur Khadka has been thoroughly assessing the political appointments and has even initiated a process to scrap them so that the appointees cannot challenge the decision of relieving them at the competent court seeking reinstatement, according to reports. It may be recalled that parties in the ruling alliance last month had formed the task force to move forward holding dialogue on the issues including formulation of common minimum program, division of ministries, political appointments.
