
Kathmandu, 20 August: As many as 165 Nepalis have arrived home from war-ravaged Afghanistan. As of Friday evening, a total of 461 Nepalis have arrived home.
Among those in Afghanistan, 310 Nepalis have registered their details requesting facilitation to return homeland. They have recorded their information in the web portal run by Consular Service Department. Some others are arriving in Kathmandu tonight through regular flights from Kuwait-Kathmandu sector. Those who arrived today include staffs serving in different diplomatic missions based in Kabul and some employed at the informal sector, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Those arriving home are now kept at a holding centre set up by Covid Crisis Management Centre (CCMC) at Samakhushi in Kathmandu, the Ministry added.
