Kathmandu, 17 August: The Supreme Court has rejected a request for an interim order in the writ petition filed by the then Chairperson of Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, Mahantha Thakur, regarding legitimacy of the party. The Election Commission approved the legitimacy of Upendra Yadav group of JSP after a division bench of Judges rejected to give interim order. The order reads, “It has been seen that the EC on July 26, 2021 took the decision regarding the legitimacy of the party. It is not necessary to issue interim order since it was the issue of final decision whether it was in line with law or not, and the raised concerns would be considered in the final verdict, the interim order was not considered necessary for now in view of suitability and balance.” People's News Monitoring Service
