Kathmandu, 13 August: Today, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has completed one month in his office, yet, he is unable to give the final shape to his cabinet. Still, Deuba is looking after 17 ministerial portfolios. Although, the delay, it was said, due to the indecision of the Madhav Nepal faction in the UML on whether to join the government or not, NC, Maoist Center and also JSP are unable to finalize the list of the ministers. JSP’s Upendra Yadav is also willing to join the cabinet but Deuab and Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda are against the assignment of the deputy prime minister. Also, Baburam Bhattarai in JSP is against Yadav becoming the DPM. In NC and Maoist Center also, there are many aspirants to become the DPM. Therefore, to avoid the crisis, Deuba and Prachanda are planning not introducing the DPM’s post. Deuba wants to postpone the NC's 14th national convention date till October or November this year. Therefore, Deuba is not ready to name the NC ministers earlier to the decision of the postponement of the NC national convention. Upendra Yadav wants to name the ministers from JSP only after conducting its central committee meeting next week. Prachanda has already expressed the view in public that he is under serious pressure as there are many aspirants to the post of minister. Therefore, the cabinet expansion process is likely to be postponed until next week. People's News Monitoring Service
