
Kathmandu, 9 August: After recognition from the Election Commission, the Upendra Yadav faction in the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has dismissed Mahanta Thakur from the post of the party chairman.
Similarly, the Yadav faction has dismissed 16 central committee members belonging to the Thakur faction.
Upendra Yadav has submitted an updated list of the party central committee to the Election Commission by ousting the Thakur faction from the party central committee. Now, the 51-member central committee has been reduced to 35 members.
The post of the Member of Parliament of those dismissed office bearers will remain intact until the party takes action on them on the charge of quitting the party.
