Kathmandu, 8 August: Nepal recorded a total of 2,137 new cases of Covid-19 and 55 fatalities in the last 24 hours taking the country’s coronavirus caseload reached 714,877, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. Moreover, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll has jumped to 10,093 while the total coronavirus recoveries has dropped to 669,299 with 2,029 discharges today. The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 35,485. The Kathmandu Valley recorded as many as 740 infections today while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur recorded 155 and 56 respectively.
