Kathmandu, 6 August: A section of Nepali Congress (NC) has called for conducting the party's national general convention in the given timeframe. A meeting of the leaders stressed the need for conducting the party's national general convention in time even by cutting the processes short.  They argued that otherwise the party's legitimacy will vanish after September 8.NC senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel  stated that the active membership row could not be finalised since party President Sher Bahadur Deuba stood at the helm of premiership and he was supposed to attend many events People's News Monitoring Service
