Kathmandu, 5 August: Nepal recorded a total of 2,975 new cases of Covid-19 and 35 fatalities on Wednesday  taking the country’s coronavirus caseload  705,072, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. Moreover, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll jumped to 9,957 while the total coronavirus recoveries dropped to 661,651 with 1,535 discharges . The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 33,464. The Kathmandu Valley recorded as many as 908 infections on Wednesday while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur recorded 206 and 165 respectively.
