A protest rally in Dhangadhi, Nepal

Kathmandu, 27 November: For last several weeks, rallies are being organised in different major cities such as Butwal, Dhangadi, Nepalgunj, Birgunj, Biratnagar, Janakpur, among others, in the country protesting against the present political system. The protesters are demanding restoration of the institution of monarchy and re-declaring Nepal a Hindu nation. 

Hundreds of thousands of locals are spontaneously participating in the rally. They are chanting slogans against the present political system and political leaders for creating an anomaly in all sectors.  

Although different organizations are seen active in organising rallies in different cities, the main objective of the demonstration is for the restoration of the monarchy and re-declaring Nepal as a Hindu nation.

Local leaders from RPP, NC, NCP and also from Socialist Party Nepal are found participating in such rallies in different cities.

Significant to note that in those political conscious cities also the big crowd was seen in the rally against federalism, secularism and republicanism. Participants in the rally are seen holding Nepal’s flag only.
