Kathmandu, 27 November: Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Friday. the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 1,703 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours while conducting PCR test of 10,460 persons. With the new addition, the number of infected persons has reached 229,343.
Among the new cases detected today 822 have been reported from within the Kathmandu Valley.
Today 1,236 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 210,671. As of today, there are 17,237 active cases of infection across the country.
A total of 23 people died of the deadly virus in the past 24 hours. With this the death toll has reached 1,435, according to MoHP.
