Kathmandu, 22 November: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested two officials from the District Land Revenue Office in Dang on corruption charges.

Pushparaj Giri, a non-gazetted first class officer and office assistant Minraj Gaire have been taken into custody with  Rs 320,000 bribe amount, according to CIAA. The duo were apprehended by a CIAA team mobilized from Nepalgunj. The accused received the bribe for issuing a land ownership certificate. “Further investigation is underway to file a corruption case against them,” reads a press release issued by the CIAA.
