Kathmandu, 20 November: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has urged the government to take action against those involved in violation of transitional justice and cater justice to the victims as stated in the comprehensive peace accord (CPA).

NHRC Spokesperson Tikaram Pokhrel issued a press release on the 14th anniversary of the signing of CPA and reminded that it had amended the laws relating to transitional justice mechanism in line with human rights with international standard and the Supreme Court decisions. The NHRC urged all sides concerned including government to ensure justice to the victims on time and bring to book the human rights violators so that it would contribute to reducing impunity.
