
Kathmandu, 17 November: As many as 339 new cases of the corona virus infection have been reported in Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday, as per the information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its daily media briefing on Tuesday afternoon.
Among the 339 cases detected on Tuesday, 289 are reported in Kathmandu while 38 cases of transmission have been recorded in Lalitpur and 12 cases in Bhaktapur district, according to the MoHP.
The three districts in the Kathmandu Valley- Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur- are among the districts with the highest number of Corona virus infection. So far, Kathmandu has recorded 16,600 cases while Lalitpur has 2,468 and Bhaktapur 1,362 has infection cases.
The new infections were confirmed through PCR tests conducted across healthcare facilities in the valley including National Public Health Laboratory, Patan Hospital, HAMS Hospital, Star Hospital, Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Nepal Korea Friendship Municipality Hospital and Birendra Military Hospital.
