The past week has been an eventful one from the political point of view with the ruling UML in an uncomfortable condition and the Nepali Congress ostensibly moving forwards unity.

The special bench of the Supreme Court this week began final hearings on the legality of the government recommendation to dissolve parliament and hold fresh midterm polls on November 23 while Prime Minister Manmohan Adhikari sacked the high profile  Minister for Supplies and Local Development, Chandra Prakash Mainali.
