Kathmandu, 5 November: The latest survey report has confirmed an increase in Nepal’s territory. The Survey Department has claimed that Nepal’s total territory has reached at 148006.67 square kilometres. The increased territory also includes Kalapani-Lipulekh-Limpiyadhura territory.
The Department has already submitted a report to the Land Management Ministry. The Department has informed that while surveying through the Projection System, 825.67 square Kilometers territory was increased.
The earlier survey report was wrong, the Department has said. Earlier, the total area of Nepal was 147181 square kilometres, excluding above 335 square kilometres territory in Kalapani-Lipulekh-Limpiyadhura, encroached by India, reports Kantipur daily.
