Kathmandu, 2 November: Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Monday. the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 2,993 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours while conducting PCR test of 13,446 persons. With the new addition, the number of infected persons has reached 176,500.

Among the new cases detected today 1,630 have been reported from within the Kathmandu Valley. Today 3,150 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 137,992. As of today, there are 37,524 active cases of infection across the country.

A total of 24 people died of the deadly virus in the past 24 hours. With this the death toll has reached 984, according to MoHP.
