Kathmandu, 1 November: Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Sunday. the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 2,824 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours while conducting PCR test of 13,023 persons. With the new addition, the number of infected persons has reached 173,576.
Among the new cases detected today 1,622 have been reported from within the Kathmandu Valley. Today 3,620 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 134,842. As of today, there are 37,765 active cases of infection across the country.
A total of 23 people died of the deadly virus in the past 24 hours. With this the death toll has reached 960, according to MoHP.
