Kathmandu, 23 October: Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Friday. the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 4,499 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours. With the new addition, the number of infected persons has reached 153,008.
Among the new cases detected today, 2,720 have been reported from within the Kathmandu Valley. Today 2,668 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 105,488. As of today, there are 46,691 active cases of infection across the country.
A total of 17 people died of the deadly virus in the past 24 hours. With this the death toll has reached 829, according to MoHP
