Kathmandu, 22 October: Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Wednesday. the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) confirmed 5,743 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country. With the new addition, the number of infected persons has reached 144,872.
Among the new cases detected today, 3,107 have been reported from within the Kathmandu Valley. On Wednesday 2,996 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 99,605. As of today, there are 44,476 active cases of infection across the country.
A total of 26 people died of the deadly virus on Wednesday. With this the death toll has reached 791, according to MoHP
