Kathmandu, 17 October: Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Saturday. the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 3,167 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours. With the new addition, the number of infected persons has reached 129,305.

Among the new cases detected today, 1,746 have been reported from within the Kathmandu Valley. Today 1,800 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 89,840. As of today, there are 38,737 active cases of infection across the country.
