Kathmandu, 17 October: Former King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, considering the adverse situation created by the Covid-19 pandemic, has urged all to observe the Dasain festival in a simple manner.
The former King has also decided to cancel the visit to different Shakti Peeth in the Valley on the Maha Ashtami (the eighth day of the Dasain festival).
Likewise, the former King has decided for not offering tika to the general public on the Dasain Tika, the tenth day of the festival, according to a notice issued by Dr Phani Pathak, press secretary of the former King.
