Kathmandu, 17 October: Dasain, the greatest festival of the Nepalis has started from today. The festival will over after 15 days. People worship Goddess Durga for nine days starting from today. On the tenth day, after receiving Prasad from the Goddess Durga, Tika will be offered by the senior member in the family to all the juniors. This practice will continue for five days.
The court will remain closed from today till the 15th day, whereas, the government holiday begins from the 7th day, also known as Fulpati till Tika.
