Kathmandu, 15 October: NCP co-chairman Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda and senior leader Madhav Nepal have expressed dissatisfaction against Prime Minister Oli on the reshuffle of the cabinet.
When the supreme leaders failed to develop consensus on the reshuffle of the cabinet, PM Oli has made a minor change in his cabinet by appointing three new ministers.
PM Oli has appointed Bishnu Poudel as the finance minister, Krishnagopal Shrestha as the urban development minister and Lilanath Shrestha as the women, children and senior citizens minister.
Parbat Gurung, who was minister for women, children and senior citizens minister has become the minister for information and communication technology.
DPM Ishhwor Pokhrel is ousted from the defence ministry, has now been assigned to look after the Prime Minister’s Office.
Pokhrel has been demoted, whereas, NCP’s general secretary Bishnu Poudel has been rewarded with the finance portfolio, known to be the key ministry.
Prachanda and Nepal have expressed dissatisfaction on the present reshuffle. Nepal has remarked that PM Oli, violating the party decision, one-sidedly nominated his own men in the ministry.
Prachanda, although, had given consent on Poudel’s name as the finance minister, has expressed dissatisfaction on the other two names.
Meanwhile, Suvash Chandra Nembang, deputy leader of the Parliamentarian Party of the NCP, who is closed to Oli, said that the cabinet will have major changes after the Tihar festival.
It is learnt that PM Oli has made the minor change as the chairmen duo failed to develop consensus on names of the ministers.
