Kathmandu, 13 October: As many as 2,283 new cases of the corona virus infection have been reported in Kathmandu Valley on Monday, as per the information provided by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its daily media briefing on Saturday afternoon.
Among the 2,283 cases detected on Monday, 1,888 were detected in Kathmandu while 277 cases of transmission have been recorded in Lalitpur and 118 cases in Bhaktapur, according to the MoHP.
The three districts in the Kathmandu Valley- Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur- are among the districts with the highest number of Corona virus infection. So far, Kathmandu has recorded 17,789 cases while Lalitpur has 2,669 and Bhaktapur 1,515 has infection cases.
The new infections were confirmed through PCR tests conducted across healthcare facilities in the valley including National Public Health Laboratory, Patan Hospital, HAMS Hospital, Star Hospital, Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Nepal Korea Friendship Municipality Hospital and Birendra Military Hospital.
