
Kathmandu, 20 September: The Secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) held at Perisdanda for the first time after the unification between the erstwhile CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist), has discussed and debated on agenda of Cabinet reshuffle.
“The meeting will continue tomorrow and concrete decisions are expected to transpire, after the conclusion of the meeting,” party Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha told the media persons adding,” Policy discussion on Cabinet discussion has commenced and the meeting has agreed in principle to reshape it on the basis of performance.” He declined to name as who would be the minister and who would be removed from the incumbent Cabinet.
The meeting had discussed in detail about cabinet reshuffle, making the government’s performance more effective, among others issues, according to a Secretariat member who refused to be quoted. It meeting also discussed the appointments in the Constitutional bodies and selection of ambassadors to be recommended to the government for its decision.
The Secretariat meeting was called to implement the decisions of the Standing Committee meeting held on September 11. It may be noted that Pushpa Kamal Dahal, having assumed the powers of Executive Chairman, called the meeting in Parisdanda.
