Kathmandu, 10 September: The Ministry of Health and Population recorded a total of 1,081 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday. Among the fresh cases of infection, 743 are males and 338 females.

Spokesperson at the ministry, Dr Jageshwor Gautam shared  that  the total infection  cases rose to 49,219; while the active cases of infection are 15,025. Similarly, 918 persons returned home after recovering their health. With this, those restoring their normal health after infection have reached 33,882. It is the 68.8 percent recovery of the total infection in Nepal.The Kathmandu Valley witnessed 464 cases, among which, Kathmandu has 394, Lalitpur 34 and Bhaktapur 36. So far, seven districts have recorded more than 500 patients contracting the deadly virus.

Meanwhile, six persons infected with coronavirus lost lives.  The total death toll due to the pandemic has reached 312 in the country. Among the lastest fatalities, three are men and three women.
